The Girl

Leila is extremely verbal. She has been ever since she started stringing words together. Some days I would swear I was talking to a 12 year old instead of a nearly 2 & 1/2 year old. She's almost getting a bit sassy on me already. Recently, whenever I start to tell her something, she'll pause what she's doing and say "huh (or rather more of an 'uh')... what are you talking to me about mom?" And it just makes me chuckle every darn time. And for some reason, we've become "mom" and "dad" - I still get mommy/momma mixed in, but Cesar is usually dad these days - pronounced with an explanation point - "don't do that to my play dough DAD!!" Won't be long before she's calling us by first name. She is an entertaining child.
